Serve the site over HTTPS on Shopify
Why it matters
Without HTTPS everything visitors send and receive, including passwords and form data, can be read or changed by anyone on the network path. Browsers also label plain http pages as not secure.
Staged change. Do this in stages and check each one before the next, so a mistake does not break your site or your mail.
The fix
- Shopify issues certificates for connected domains automatically. In Settings, Domains, check the SSL status of example.com.
- If SSL is pending, make sure the domain's A and CNAME records point at Shopify exactly as the Domains page lists them and that no CAA record excludes Shopify's certificate authorities, then wait for the certificate or contact Shopify Support.
The examples use example.com. Replace it with your own domain.
