Consider adding an llms.txt file on Shopify
Why it matters
llms.txt is a proposed convention for a short Markdown file that points AI tools to your most useful pages. It is optional and no search engine promises to use it, so treat it as a low-cost extra rather than a ranking factor.
The fix
- Shopify serves /llms.txt by default; it mirrors the store's /agents.md, so most stores need to do nothing. If the scan still reports it missing, check Online Store, Preferences for password protection and Settings, Domains for the connection status.
- To publish your own text, add a template named llms.txt.liquid in the theme's templates folder (Online Store, Themes, Edit code). It replaces the default for /llms.txt only. To change what AI tools see on every agent URL at once, edit agents.md.liquid instead. Only the request and agents Liquid objects are available in these templates.
