Fix the error status on the homepage on Cloudflare
Why it matters
Google's test saw an error answer (4xx or 5xx) from the homepage, so it may be dropped from search results. The cause is either a real fault on your server or a rule that blocks Google's crawlers.
The fix
- Open Security, Events and look for blocks or challenges on the homepage from Google addresses. Adjust the rule that fires, or allow verified bots, because Cloudflare error pages and challenge pages mean the visitor never saw your site.
- If the status is a 52x error, the problem is your origin server, so read its logs next.
